Purple Haze

The alarm went off at 3am...ouch! So after 5 hours of sleep I headed up the the Lake District as I wanted to go up to Lingmoor Fell to capture the heather at sunrise. I arrived at 4.45am and was on the footpath up Side Pike in the dark, trying to get to the other side of the Pike to where I wanted to be, in good time. However on the way over, this amazing sky was developing over to the east - this was taken 16 minutes before sunrise. I just had to stop and capture it!
A great morning and I had the fell all to myself. The first people I passed were just setting off from near Blea Tarn as I had descended.
