Water and Rocks - The Outer Hebrides
A frisky, ebbing tide made me tense while stood on these black slabs on Harris. The rocks were incredibly slippery - like an ice rink! Great when they are dry but not when they have recently been submerged by the sea. It is not often that I worry but there was nowhere to get a good foothold as the slabs are quite wide. I just stood on a dry bit, kept my fingers and toes crossed and prayed that my wellies would not let me down
