A brief Moment

Sunrise at Coniston was misty to say the least yesterday morning. At sunrise, right after I took the image beside this one (Mist at Daybreak), I looked over my shoulder and saw a golden ball burning its way through the mist. I very quickly moved position (not easy among that dead bracken) and intended to be get the tree and the sun in one shot, before the sun totally broke through and got too strong. However as I was moving round the tree and I was "side on", I saw this colour in the mist! I quickly rolled off a few shots, not even getting time to move back and take a landscape version of the same, before the mist was burned off by the sun.

I was a bit thrilled! :)
