At sunrise, right after I took the image beside this one (Mist at Daybreak), I looked over my shoulder and saw a golden ball burning its way through the mist. I very quickly moved position (not easy among that dead bracken) and intended to be get the tree and the sun in one shot, before the sun totally broke through and got too strong. However as I was moving round the tree and I was "side on", I saw this colour in the mist! I quickly rolled off a few shots, not even getting time to move back and take a landscape version of the same, before the mist was burned off by the sun. The rocks were incredibly slippery - like an ice rink! Great when they are dry but not when they have recently been submerged by the sea. It is not often that I worry but there was nowhere to get a good foothold as the slabs are quite wide.
